Compulsory Courses for M.Phil consist of 15 credit hours and the scholar will have the option of selecting courses of 9 credit hours from optional courses in consultation with TIAC. According to the normal procedure, a research scholar will first complete the coursework and then start working on the thesis/ dissertation.

Compulsory Courses for Ph.D consist of 12 credit hours and the scholar will have the option of selecting courses of 6 credit hours from optional courses in consultation with TIAC. According to the normal procedure, a research scholar will first complete the coursework and then start working on the thesis/ dissertation.

Students who have not done the M.Phil course work will have to follow courses of 42 credit hours in Ph.D which include 24 credit hrs compulsory and 18 credit hrs optional courses.
